Dark Darker Darkest turned up on the Kickstarter website at a time when I was beginning to despair. And if you say it quickly you sound like that guy from Team America: World Police, flailing his arms around in the jeep. Dark Darker Darkest is a bloody awful name for a game. You know what? I've got to say this first. What that means is Dark Darker Darkest was a very easy sell for me. There is something joyous about sitting at a table with a group of friends, and creating a unique adventure in another world. now.Īnyone who frequents this blog knows I am a sucker for a game that tells a story (yeah, I'm talking about stories again). If you feel that either of those things in any way devalues or negates my opinion, better jog on, because there is a big, fat dollop of opinion heading your way. So, yeah, this game is a little bit special to me. It was not the first game I backed, but it was the first (and currently only) game that actually arrived at my house. Additionally, I was one of the people who had some involvement in the second edition of the rules book (on a voluntary basis). I backed Dark Darker Darkest on Kickstarter. I will NEVER order another product from Madrina's until they either reach out to rectify this or announce an apology for this terrible product.Okay, before I start this review, I'm going to lay my cards on the table. The boxes even came open during shipping and my emote card was just sitting outside of the box since it wasn't even sealed. My 'limited edition' boxes were smashed and ripped. The mugs look nothing like the promotional images. I am extremely disappointed since they claimed it was meticulously handcrafted which obviously untrue. There is glue all over the mugs and the metal inside is not seated properly. The outside labelling is smeared and not even engraved into the mug, it looks like it was poorly pained and smeared all over and the madrina's label is missing half an M. The lining on the inside is destroyed and warped, it almost appears unsafe to drink from and reeks of strong chemicals. If you check out reddit you can see I am not the only one who received very poor quality mugs. These reviews must be fake because I ordered multiple boxes and the quality of the mugs are atrocious.
